Who here is familiar with Ayurveda?
This ancient system has been a deep part of my life for over a decade. I’ve been working as an Ayurvedic Consultant and Yoga Therapist/Teacher for more than 10 years now, and it continues to inspire both my personal life and professional practice.
Ayurveda is a traditional Indian system of medicine, rooted in the Samkhya philosophy—which is also the foundation of yoga. In fact, Ayurveda is often referred to as the sister science to yoga.
At its core, Ayurveda is all about balance—maintaining harmony within the body, mind, and environment. It teaches that health isn’t just the absence of disease, but a vibrant state of physical, mental, and emotional equilibrium.
This balance is supported through:
-
Nourishing, seasonal diet
-
Daily and seasonal lifestyle practices
-
Thoughtful movement and exercise
-
Yoga tailored to your constitution
-
Pranayama (breathwork) to support vitality and calm
If you’d like to explore Ayurveda further, I recommend starting with this introductory article.
Wishing you all a grounded and nourishing weekend.
