3 tips for Insomniacs

Do you suffer from insomnia, frequent waking up at night or light sleep? Here are 3 tips for getting a good nights sleep.

  1. Ditch the caffeine, any caffeine in your system will disrupt sleep patterns.
  2. Come off all screens 2-3 hours before bedtime, the blue light messes up our circadian rhythms & reduces the production of melatonin the sleep hormone.
  3. Do a relaxation meditation before bedtime, I particularly recommend yoga nidra which is a guided meditation you do lying down. Nidra means sleep so this practice helps you get into a deep slumber.
